What to expect of a travel agent
We though we were booking a cruise of the Greek Islands andinstead ended up with a Greek Hopper. We were given the Trafalger Book for review. We had asked for a cruise and did not receive our documents until three days before leaving (we had also booked a 5 day trip to Sicily to do prior to the cruise. The agent made our hotel reservations and airfare for that and got us to Athens in time for our tour) We were under the imprission we were taking a cruise and did not review the Trafalger book because our agent had said when our doucments came in , shw would have us in and review them with us. Unfortunately, when our documents came in, she was away and they were put in the safe only to be found by her acciidenmntally just before we left, so we neverhad our socsultation, and left cold turkey, only to find we were on a hopper and not a cruise. I know some of this is our fault because we should have read the brochure carefully, but assumming we had and agent looking out for us, we relied on that fact. We have met with the agent, who states 'miscommication', talked with her manager, and her supervisor. Her supervisor sent a letter denying any responsiblitity on the party of AAA, and sent a token of a gift certificate for 1 pound of See's Candy. I planto return it with a letter stating I will continue to pursue this maater.
I think we should be refunded all but the airline costs, since we did fly to Sicily We did not evenc omplaint to the agent that she had us booked into a hotel for two nights, flying out the next morning at 6:15 at an airport at least 75 miles away, so we had to cancel the second night and return to the airport to be there by 4: am for our flight to Athens. Is this a godd travel agent? Forgive the length of this complaint and hope for some feedback - good or bad.

Scammer by the name of "Git R Done"
I found this guy through Craigslist. He worked hard, but sporadically, was hard to reach by phone, and often did not show up when he promised. We hired him to replace a garage roof. He took the down payment of $500, and we never saw him again. I went to the police, and they offered to call him and present him with a civil complaint. But, I don't have a phone number.

Response: Apex Mortgage Unethical Treatment
It is unfortunate that an extremely useful service of this type cannot better screen its entries for fraud. Ms. Landers has patently failed in telling any semblance of truth regarding this matter. She neglected to state that she wrote a POSTDATED check for her appraisal that should never have been accepted by the appraiser in the first place. She sought to obtain a copy of the appraisal from me when her check had not even cleared the bank. The reason she had to get a copy of the appraisal from the appraiser was because that's who the check was written to, and she needed to replace the postdated check by paying cash to receive a copy of the appraisal. I authorized the appraiser to give Ms. Landers a copy of the appraisal as required by law. She continues to harass me regarding sending her an emailed copy of her appraisal when she already has a copy. Contrary to her admission, Ms. Landers has been the one who has sent disparaging emails after being I repeatedly asked her to no longer contact me regarding this matter. Lastly, Ms. Landers could not refinance her properties because she has failed to pay her mortgage on those properties for the last two months, causing her score to plummet and thus making it impossible to refinance these properties. To further aggravate the matter, Ms. Landers could not provide any documentation regarding the legitimacy of her "business" which is nothing more than a hobby, nor has she filed her taxes in several years. Not once did I mislead Ms. Landers regarding the status of her loans, and I have either returned every phone call or responded to her emails promptly and professionally. It is her fiscal mismanagement and poor judgment which has caused her current financial plight. It is still a mystery to me how she was able to purchase the properties in the first place without this basic documentation required to obtain a mortgage of practically any kind. I hope this will suffice to resolve this matter in this forum.

Dear Guys in Sales and Financing:
I believe that, mostly through my own stupidity and trust, I substantially overpaid for the Sonata SE V6.
Nicky told me that I would get the same deal I was offered the previous day on a 2.4 V4 Sonata. That 'deal', Nicky told me on both July 9 and 10, involved my paying the invoice price, which would include all taxes, Freight and handling, plus a $2,300 invoice price increase and the final 2two payments on my Nissan Maxima. This price SHOULD have come in around $20 or $21,000. Not $24,000. We figured that, at 2.9%, the payments would come to $333.96 a month after $4,000 down, not $364.18 a month, as turned out to be the case.

Overusage of Cliches
Too many people are over using cliche sayings: Examples:
Step up to the plate; Step it up; at the end of the day; my act is worth a million dollars; this deal is Yuge; when all is said and done; that is all well and good (hate that one); You're fired; that's hot and too many others to list.
Something has got to be done about this cuz at the end of the day...nobody is stepping up to the plate; which is all well and good, but when all is said and done this sentance makes no sense. This case is getting CaaaLoseeeedddd.

Bad experience with A/C Appliance Masters
—been out 4 times and can't seem to figure out what needs to be fixed to make it work, yet I have already paid for the repair. My last contact to attempt to get some resolution was a day and a half ago and they have not called or come to attempt to fix the problem that was not fixed in the last four attempts. At this point, I am not sure if I will ever hear from anyone from this company again. 07/02/07—07/11/07

El Paso needs Asarco
As per the Executive Director from the TCEQ, a favorable recommendation was issued on May 1, 2007 for the restarting of Asarco.
Yet, our city leaders and several groups continue to put out misleading information and use scare tactics to garner support against Asarco. Why? Because it is not about the environment, it is about the land.
This is why our city government brought in national developers, met with them in secret and refused to provide various requested documents which including billing information on two outside law firms hired to represent the city. Thanks to the Texas Attorney General issuing a ruling through the Public Information Act, chapter 552 of the Government Code, the requested information had to be provided. Keep in mind that this dates back to March of 2006.
It is shameful, that these elected officials seem to think that it is okay to waste almost one million dollars for litigation, allocate an additional $50 thousand dollars to hire an ad agency and anywhere from $300 to $400 thousand dollars to run ads against Asarco. El Paso needs employment opportunities with above average salaries, benefits and union representation . . .El Paso needs Asarco
Again, this is not about the environment, this is about the land, Asarco's Land.

GET THE LEAD OUT! KEEP EL PASO CLEAN!
Asarco claims to have a state of the art copper smelting plant in El Paso, Texas! What a joke! Meanwhile.....we are still cleaning up their pollution of our beautiful town and they haven't been open since 1999 and yet they are fighting local El Pasoans to reopen their filthy facility and put our health and our children's health at risk. Well, I say NO THANKS! Take your jobs, and your money and go somewhere else....listen up ASARCO..we are spending our hard earned dollars fighting you to tell you WE DON"T WANT YOU HERE! We maybe be small and our education level may be low..but we recognize a rat when we see one! Listen up once and for all...we will not support your facility reopening...we don't want your jobs. We don't want your pollution! What good is a job is you have to pay for it with your and your children's lives! NO THANKS! Find someone else to pick on....we don't want you here!

Chad plays so much golf, he has a cot on 18. He plays so much golf, the cart girls know him as Uncy Chaddy. He plays so much golf, his lease is almost up on his 2003 Yamaha Club Car. He plays so much golf he mortgaged his green fees. I dont know about you...but one round every 3 months is good

The Sopranos is all HYPE
During the reign of TV giant The Sopranos, everyone claimed how great it was and what a spectacular show this was. I did not have HBO so I was feeling left out of the mix. People would tell me in disbelief.."You don't watch the Sopranos?????!!!!!! I would reply sheepishly.."no..I dont have HBO." However, on several occassions I thought myself lucky and happened to catch a couple of the episodes of the Sopranos. I did'nt understand the hooplah or the excitement. I would immediately run back to my DVD player and pop in Goodfellas just to erase the memories of boring Sopranos. The point of my grumble is this: I finally had seen several episodes of the Sopranos. I could finally tell people that yes I had seen some episodes and they were pretty boring and of no interest to me. When I would tell said people of the said episodes that I had said I watched, their replies were all the same: "Oh yeah...that episode was terrible. That episode was boring..that episode wasn't good." Now I could see that I had maybe seen a bum episode...even Saved by the Bell pulls a boner here and there, but when it is three episodes????? Where are the GOOD, FAMOUS episodes of the Sopranos??? How is it possible that I saw the ONLY 3 episodes that were the BAD episodes?? Coincidence?? Nay. People all over the world wanted another couple of hours of Goodfellas on DVD, but settled for the Sopranos and were blinded by the light. They were lit up like a Deuce..another roamer in the night.
